No point in hanging around - let's get straight to Olivia's questions!

What is the reason behind you Blogger name?
I'm not 100% sure if I've talked about this before but I did mention it in this post that I wrote last year that will give you a clear insight into how the name Breathing Silver Linings came about. Basically, through living the alternative life that I have done, I have had to grow up viewing the world as a glass half full, and looking for the brighter side to most things. In the past I've described this as if you had to consume the silver linings - hence the name! A lot of people have come up to me and complimented me on the name of my blog, it's definitely something different and that's exactly what I wanted.

2 If you could be anywhere in the world where would you be and why?
Hmm, this is a tough one- and I could give a million answers. Instead, I'll answer the unconventional way. I'd like to live in a world that we could all feel comfortable and confident in ourselves. I would like to live in a world where our aesthetic shell isn't dominated by views and opinions from people who they think that we are. I'd like to live in a world where public pavements are actually suitable to walk on in every town, I'm sick of walking on craters. Also, if trains/buses had blankets and pillows for us to sleep that would be really great. Finally, National Tea Drinking Day should be a thing. I think I've got it all covered.

3 What three words would you choose to describe your fashion style?
Casual, comfortable, Catherine-esque.

4 What is your favourite type of music?
Alternative usually, indie, folk - that type of thing. I've put together a few "Albums of the Month" type posts. If you want to see exactly what I like to listen to, have a gander at them!

5 If you knew you couldn't fail at anything today, What would you do?
I would cook all day long! Anyone that knows me, knows I am not going to be your domestic goddess. I find cooking quite challenging, so a day where I could whip up a few decant things would be lovely. I made a cracking egg-fried rice though, if that counts?

6 What is your favourite TV programme?
I don't have a particular favourite programme but I do like to watch a variety of things; Downtown Abbey, Home and Away, Friends, Misfits, Suits etc. I also watch the news and other current affair-type programmes. I did say I watch a variety!

7 What means most to you, other than friends and family?

I think the most important thing to be right now, other than the obvious - is not being afraid. The way that the media depicts our lives, or even some people around you can be quite debilitating after a while. It is so easy to be consumed by fear, and holding yourself back for the sake of a view minion opinions. This blog is an example of over-coming a sense of that. For ages I wanted to start writing online, but I refrained. Why? I was afraid of what people might think, and that is a crippling hole to be trapped in. The reward has paid off though; many people I know in my own life come up to me and tell me things they've enjoyed reading on this little space - and it means so much. At the end of the day, you are the person that is going to walk in your own shoes and see through your own two eyes.

8 Are you an animal lover?

I like animals as much as your average person - I'll never be a vet, but I love dogs. Daisy is the queen in my house, she rules the roost.

9 What is your favourite season?
I'm going to be very boring and say I generally like them all. Although winter, with its wind, rain and ability to cancel your plans in a heart beat gets a bit tiring after a while. I like Spring, when we finally get the "stretch in the evenings", and when the daffodils come out and the lambs roam through the village. I don't mean to sound like a middle aged poet in a house full of cats, but I just like seeing them, alrighty?

10 What is your favourite thing to do on a rainy day?
Blog, drink tea, read - repeat.

11 How long have you been blogging for?
*Counts on fingers* 9 months! It's crazy to think in a couple of months time my blog will be a year old. Time has flown, but here's to many, many more 9 months.
